Keep working in 3ds Max and review your scene in 3DBAE through a connected browser project. Live Link brings across your models, materials, cameras, and supported animations, so you can see your work in 3DBAE as you make changes in Max.

You can pause the connection when you need to stop sending changes. At launch, installer version 1.5.17 supported Autodesk 3ds Max 2024 on 64-bit Windows and can find Max even when it is installed in a custom folder.

Build richer finishes by combining material layers on a single surface. Reorder layers, adjust their settings, and show or hide each one to explore different looks without starting over.

Give each layer a clear name so it is easy to find later. Try a different layer order or hide one to compare the result while keeping the rest of your material in place.

Choose exactly which objects a light shines on. Use Include to light only your chosen objects, or Exclude to leave certain objects out while the light affects the rest of the scene.

For example, add a light to bring out a product detail without making the background brighter. Each light has its own choices, so you can adjust one part of the scene at a time.

Soft shadows are more consistent, helping products sit naturally in their surroundings. Refine the lighting and keep a more dependable shadow result when preparing your scene for sharing.

This is especially useful around the base of a product, where a shadow helps show how it rests on the floor. You can spend more time choosing the look and less time correcting uneven results.

Moving between product options feels smoother, with fewer loading interruptions as you compare looks. Ground shadows also blend more cleanly into the scene for a more polished presentation.

Whether visitors are comparing colours or finishes, it is easier to stay focused on what changed. The product feels more settled in the scene as they move from one choice to the next.

Project thumbnails display more reliably, making it easier to find the scene you want. Opening a project from the dashboard is smoother too, so you can get back to creating sooner.

The small preview image gives you a clearer way to recognize your work before opening it. This makes browsing several similar projects less of a guessing game.

Materials look more natural, and you have more control over the soft shading around your product. Adjust it to make edges, corners, and nearby surfaces easier to see.

Use a lighter touch for a clean product image or stronger shading to show more depth. These controls help you bring out the shape without losing the details of the finish.

Model workflows in Canvas are easier to work with, with more consistent interactions as you build and refine your creative process.

Working through the steps of a model workflow feels more predictable. That makes it easier to keep adjusting your ideas without small control issues getting in the way.

Canvas presets give you a starting point for common creative tasks. Choose what you want to do, add the images or instructions it asks for, and run it without writing every instruction from scratch.

Try different product colours, change a material, turn a sketch into a finished-looking image, or put together a material moodboard. You can also explore packaging ideas, improve lighting, expand an image, and generate 3D models or splats with the matching presets.

Pick a preset that fits your idea, then use your own references to guide the result. It is an easier way to try several directions and find a look you want to develop further.

Team seats let you bring more people into your shared work. See how many seats are in use and manage your team's capacity as you invite collaborators.

The same person uses one seat across your workspaces and direct project shares. That means you can involve a teammate in several projects without counting them again for each one.

Give someone access to a specific project without inviting them into your whole workspace. It is a useful way to bring a client or teammate into just the work you want to share.

Choose their level of access so they can view or help edit the project. Keep control over who has access as the work moves forward.

Creating a Canvas project is more dependable, helping you move from an idea to your first workflow with fewer interruptions.

This update fixes problems at the start of project creation. You can begin a new workspace more confidently and get on with putting your steps together.

Viewer interactions feel more responsive, making it easier to explore a product and move between its interactive details.

When visitors use a scene's controls, the view keeps up more smoothly. This helps the presentation feel easier to explore, especially when several details are available to try.

See an AI preview update as you work on your scene view. Live rendering helps you explore the look while adjusting the shot, instead of creating a separate finished render for every small change.

When you find a view you like, save the current live render. You can also switch to Production mode when you are ready to create a finished AI image.

Turn your scene view into an AI-generated image. Choose a style and describe the changes you want, then create a render to explore a different look for your presentation.

Use it to try a visual direction before settling on a final image. Finished AI renders are saved in your generation history, so you can return to them later.

Opening a note or hiding a part should not disturb the view into your model. These fixes help keep that view consistent while visitors move between details.

Place images on your model like stickers to try logos, labels, and decorative details. See your branding on the product itself while you work on its look.

This makes it easier to judge how a design fits the shape of your product. Try a label or graphic in the scene before deciding on the final presentation.

Create a sliced view of your model to show what is inside. Reveal parts that would normally be hidden behind the outside surface.

Use the view to explain how components fit together or point out an inner detail. It gives visitors another way to understand the product beyond its outer shape.

The on-screen controls for moving and resizing objects are easier to see and select. Placing an object against another surface is more consistent too.

These changes help with small adjustments, such as lining up a detail or changing the size of a part. You can work directly in the 3D view with clearer feedback as you move.

Saving and recovering your editing work is more dependable, helping you resume your scene after an interruption.

This update improves how the editor handles saving problems and recovery. It makes returning to your work less disruptive when a session does not go as planned.

All the materials on an imported model are now available to edit. Images used to colour its surfaces stay visible more reliably, and choosing those images feels smoother.

For a model with several finishes, you can find and adjust each one instead of missing a part of the material list. This makes it easier to check the whole product after bringing it into the studio.

Background images retain their original appearance more reliably, with more consistent controls for adjusting the scene around your product. Previously used media is easier to find again.

Keep working with the image you selected while refining the presentation around it. Reusing an earlier image is also easier when you want a matching look across your work.

Captured 3D scenes stay more stable as you rotate the view and move around them. You will see fewer visual interruptions while exploring the capture from different angles.

This improvement applies to captures made with Gaussian splats, a type of 3D capture. It makes detailed spaces and objects more comfortable to explore in the viewer.

You can use several copies of a floating control or information panel more reliably. Repeated elements behave more consistently throughout your presentation.

This is useful when different parts of a product need similar buttons or notes. You can keep a familiar layout as visitors explore each part.

Use Orbit mode to rotate the view around your product and inspect it from different angles. Move closer to check a small detail, or pull back to see the whole scene.

Navigation has been refined to make exploring more comfortable. Orbit is useful when you want to keep attention on one object while checking its shape, materials, and details from all sides.

Use Fly mode to move through a scene with the W, A, S, and D keys while looking around with your mouse. W and S move you forward and back, while A and D move you sideways. Use Q and E to move down and up.

It is a useful way to explore rooms, larger spaces, and generated 3D worlds from within. Movement in larger scenes is more stable, and shared scenes follow the navigation mode you choose for their camera more reliably.

Assign a shadow catcher material to a surface to ground your product with shadows. Create a more convincing connection between your model and its surroundings.

A shadow catcher is a surface used to receive your model's shadow. Use it beneath a product to help show where the product rests and make it feel less like it is floating.

Publishing scenes with large assets is more dependable, making it easier to share detailed projects with clients and visitors.

This update addresses problems that could interrupt sharing when a project contained larger files. You have a more reliable path from a finished scene to a link others can open.

Gaussian splat streaming brings detailed 3D scenes into view in stages, so you can start seeing the scene before everything has finished loading. More of the scene arrives as loading continues.

This helps larger captures feel easier to open and explore, with less waiting at the start. Whether you are presenting a captured space or an AI-generated splat world, visitors can begin getting a sense of the scene sooner.

Add measurement lines to your scene to communicate size alongside the product. Help viewers understand proportions without leaving the 3D presentation.

Show a useful dimension, such as the width or height of a product, close to the model. It gives viewers a clearer sense of scale than the image alone.

Published viewers respect the camera limits you set, helping visitors explore your product from the angles and distances you intended.

If you limit how far visitors can zoom or turn the view, those choices now carry through more reliably to the shared scene. Keep the focus on the views you prepared.

Grouping objects and moving them through the scene's object list is more consistent. Keep related parts together while you arrange and refine your scene.

For a product with many pieces, a tidy object list makes the right part easier to find. You can organize the scene as you work instead of leaving the cleanup until the end.

Zoom stays smooth when your pointer is over a model, large groups open faster, and object adjustments settle more promptly. Spend less time waiting between edits.

Move closer to inspect a detail, open a group, and continue adjusting its parts with fewer pauses. These fixes make everyday editing feel more consistent in busy scenes.

Choose from 75 new lighting environments. These are called HDRIs: images that provide surrounding light and reflections for your scene.

Try different environments to see how they change the appearance of your product. They are a useful starting point when choosing lighting that shows off a colour, shape, or finish.

Animation timeline editing has been reworked to make arranging and refining motion more comfortable. Build a product story with greater control over its timing.

Work on when movements happen and how they fit together in the sequence. A clearer editing experience makes it easier to review the pace and keep adjusting the result.

Focus and background blur work more consistently, helping you draw attention to the important part of your product. Aim the camera at the detail you want viewers to notice.

A softer background can help a small feature stand out. Adjust the focus as you compose your view, whether you are showing the whole product or a close-up.

Shape and arrange your scene directly in the studio, with changes visible in the 3D view. Choose the point an object rotates around and place objects onto the ground with the ground-drop tool.

You can also show the lines that make up a model over its surface to inspect its shape. Together, these tools make it easier to check your model and position its parts as you work.

Apply materials across a selection to coordinate your product's look. Share a material between objects or unlink it when one part needs its own finish.

For example, keep several matching parts on the same material so they can be styled together. Separate one when you want to give it a different colour or finish without changing the others.

A toolbar on the left and a refreshed project header make everyday editing tools easier to find. The layout gives your scene controls a clearer home.

Move between the tools you need as you build and adjust a project. The aim is to make common actions easier to reach while keeping your attention on the scene.

Editor popups now work correctly in fullscreen, so you can use their controls without leaving the larger view. You can also organize product choices into more than one set.

For example, keep colour choices in one set and finish choices in another. This makes it easier to manage different kinds of options in the same project.

Ground shadow baking and the shadows it produces now behave the same way from one bake to the next, and realtime reflections render more consistently.

Assets you generate and geometry edits still in progress are now kept rather than discarded, and the configurator and media tools steadied in the same release.

Published viewers place models into AR at real-world size. Models published before the fix have had their scale corrected, and AR settings saved under the old defaults now apply correctly. Once a model is in the room, viewers can also place and scale it by hand.

Embedded viewers load on your own site, signing in with Google returns you to the app as expected, and files uploaded earlier keep loading. In the studio, models load reliably in published projects, baked shadows survive publishing, shadows and reflections render steadily, and the animation timeline moved to a new layout.

The scene assistant now drafts a plan before it starts and keeps that plan on screen while it works, so you can see what it intends to change before anything in the scene moves. Assistant models are available on paid plans, and when a model is unavailable the assistant falls back to another one at the same credit cost. A loop where it kept repeating the same scene changes and reaching for costly effects was fixed.

Paid storage now goes up to 1 TB, and outside AI tools can connect to 3DBAE. Publicly shared scenes open again, materials keep their empty texture slots instead of dropping them, and screen UI controls that had stopped responding were repaired.

A published project can now be launched directly into the phone's own AR viewer. In the studio, retopology tools and primitive pivots arrived, smooth normals became a proper geometry modifier, and authoring assistants shipped with their pricing shown up front. Ground shadow baking, camera framing, safe-frame guides, transform menus, and the authored camera turntable were all reworked.

Large models load faster and the editor starts up sooner. Archived projects can be deleted for good, credits settle correctly when a project is removed or restored, and collaboration is available on AI plans.

Invite people to a workspace so your team can find and work on projects in one place. Shared access helps everyone return to the same work without passing separate copies around.

Choose a role for each person. Editors can create and edit workspace projects, while viewers can open them without changing the work. You can update roles or remove access as your team changes.

The studio gained mesh edit selection tools with their own menus, a broader set of selection tools, and viewport menus that open on hover. Materials picked up fuller per-texture controls, with texture resolution consistent across slots and advanced materials preserved. A new image-to-3D workflow lets you pick an image model, follow the generation as it runs, and get the finished model placed on the ground.

Ground shadows, ambient occlusion, exposure, reflection scope, and HDRI ground projection were all steadied in the same release. Paid AI usage is now limited by credits, credit packs settle correctly, and switching to a different paid plan asks you to confirm before it bills. Workspace collaboration also shipped.

Ground shadows can now be path traced and baked into textures that stay with the scene, and the bake comes out smooth rather than grainy. Object light baking, steadier path-traced shadows, working HDRI presets, and HDRI orientation that survives a save landed with it. The viewport gained editable object origins, snapping while you edit, an advanced gizmo toggle, and image capture.

Screen UI elements can be anchored to a hotspot pointer, projected into 3D, given visibility targets and custom fonts, and kept as drafts while you work. Interactions gained sound actions, input expressions, and delayed browser actions that resume where they left off, and the studio picked up a preview launcher for native AR. Signing in with a verified Google account now links to your existing account instead of creating a second one.

Published embeds now expose a Model API that scripts on your own page can call. It reaches objects, cameras, materials, textures, animations, primitives, 3D text, selection and gizmos, raycasting, and configuration, and it can bring in published projects and 3D files while the scene is running. Scenes can be exported live in five formats, including binary STL and Collada, and a Model API debugger shipped alongside it.

The studio gained 3D text typography with managed custom fonts, projected decals, Figma frames as hotspot media, aimable camera and light target rigs, AR delivery in several formats with an in-browser launcher, a performance analyzer, interaction rule groups, and delayed actions you can schedule. Textures are optimized when a project is published, and the effects panel's quality, bloom, grain, vignette, colour balance, and fading controls were tightened up.

Configurator properties, materials, background, and 3D text can now be driven by formulas, and configurator logic can be backed by a dataset instead of hand-written rules. Conditions can be grouped, and they report what they are doing while the scene runs. Reusable transform states and transitions arrived, along with saved selections that interactions and variant actions can target by name.

Scenes export in five interchange formats and publish USDZ files that keep working. The studio picked up a viewport navigation gizmo, renaming in place in the hierarchy, batch hierarchy actions that apply all at once, animated textures that play in the scene, and a single inspector for screen UI. Canvas works in light and dark, keeps connections attached when you move a node, and now saves only when you tell it to. Billing shows what a coupon takes off before you commit.

The public forms on the site now check for automated traffic before a submission goes through, so bot submissions are turned away.

Canvas arrived as an AI workspace where you build a workflow and then actually run it, alongside a new onboarding flow for new accounts. Autosave no longer loses work when two saves overlap, and Canvas context menus and media uploads were repaired.

Adding a file you have already uploaded now reuses the stored copy instead of uploading it a second time. Older billing history appears in your account again, account totals were corrected, and the dashboard gained safeguards against deleting something by accident.

Returning users can sign in straight from the Google account prompt instead of going through the full sign-in page. Uploaded files stay with the workspace they were added to.

Your workspace and your plan now read the same everywhere in the product, and the dashboard comes back faster when you return to it.

Opening a 2D project now switches on the sequences that were already marked active for it, rather than turning on a default sequence automatically. The sequences control panel shows those sequences as on when it opens.

Nested sections now work with Additive Mode, and the sequences active inside them appear in the preview as you work. Drag and drop was also fixed.

Sections can now be nested, so a section can contain child sections instead of every section sitting at the same level. In Additive Mode, each section keeps one sequence active at a time. A search bug was also fixed.

Elements in the preview no longer stack in the wrong order on top of one another. Several problems that appeared when more than one sequence was linked to the same parent were also fixed.

Autoplay no longer misbehaves in the preview. Naming was updated to match across the add and edit sequence dialogs and the Sequences tab.

A dialog that had been closed could still swallow clicks on the page behind it. That no longer happens, so the page responds normally as soon as a dialog is dismissed.

Turning on Additive Mode now shows the active parent sequences. Naming was also made consistent between the add and edit sequence dialogs.

Linking, along with active and inactive states, now works in 360° Image Configurator projects and Image Configurator projects alike. Whichever of the two you build in, sequences link and switch the same way.

The edit dialog now offers linked sequence options. A bug that appeared when linking a sequence while creating it was also fixed.

Adding a sequence, selecting one, and switching a sequence between active and inactive all had bugs that are now fixed. The dropdown for picking a parent linked sequence also shows the sequences available to choose from.

Selecting a sequence updates its active state and any sequences linked to it right away. The way active and linked sequences appear was adjusted at the same time.

Sequence linking now behaves the same way in the Sequences tab and in the viewer's control panel. Links work as expected at every level, with no change to how they are set up.

New sections now get a number in their name as soon as they are created. Sub-linked sequences show as intended, and a bug in sequence selection was fixed.

Sequences linked beneath another sequence now follow their parent: when the parent is inactive, everything under it is hidden. Turning Additive Mode on shows those sub-linked sequences as expected.

A bug that displayed the wrong sequence on first load was fixed. Sequence linking now applies only in Additive Mode.

Links can now go more than one level deep. A linked sequence can have its own linked sequences, and those appear in the control panel alongside the rest. The add and edit sequence dialogs show which sequences a given sequence is linked to.

A sequence you add now appears in the control panel straight away. Linking from the add and edit sequence dialogs shows the right linked sequences there, and several linking bugs were also fixed.

Projects can now be created as an Image Configurator, with control panel changes to match. It sits alongside the existing 360° Image Configurator rather than replacing it, so both are available when you start a new project. Linked sequences and their toggles also display correctly in the control panel.

Sequence linking is in place, and the sequences linked to a given sequence now show in the control panel. The add and edit sequence dialogs were updated to match.

Sequences can now be linked to one another as parents and children. A linking problem and the handling of active state were fixed as well.

The background color editor now works with sequences, so a background color can be attached to a sequence the way it already could be attached to a model. Sequence linking picked up a fix as well, along with several smaller bug fixes.

Autoplay and rotation no longer misbehave in the viewer, and creating a project no longer shows an error immediately afterwards. A sequence bug in the preview and a problem when editing an existing sequence were fixed as well. The save button now shows a loading state while a save is running.

The option that loads by default now behaves correctly whether additive mode is switched on or off. Deleting a section no longer produces an error.

Sections are now created at the top of the list, so a newly added group is the first one you see. Reordering sections now shows the correct sequences in additive mode.

Additive mode now highlights the correct sequence, and active and inactive options read accurately in the control panel. Panels that overlap now stack in the right order, and new sections are created at the top of the list.

Additive mode can now be used without setting a default option, and a bug in how that default was handled was fixed. Sequences that were missing from the add-colour screen while linking now appear.

Linking a background colour works again, and the control panel shows the right linked and active states. Interactive elements were fixed at the same time.

An error that appeared when a project was first created has been fixed. Projects now start with no default option set, and that setting toggles correctly between additive and normal mode.

A sequence is now active the moment you add it. Switching tabs no longer reloads the sequence list. Default handling in additive mode was updated, with interface refinements alongside.

The switch icon can now be toggled with the arrow keys, so options can be changed from the keyboard. Creating a project was fixed, and the sequence list in the sidebar no longer reloads when you change tabs.

HDRIs can now be added and picked from the media manager, alongside images and models. The flows for adding and editing an image were refined, and some inputs are now checked before they are saved. An ordering issue was fixed at the same time.

Adding and editing images and models now runs through the media manager, so both come from the same library. Bug fixes shipped alongside.

Editing a sequence was fixed, and auto-rotate now works when the initial frame has been changed. Default sequence handling was corrected, with further bug fixes alongside.

Adding and creating sequences was fixed. The same release added thumbnails, a fullscreen control, a save button and auto-rotate. Interface fixes shipped alongside.

A global media manager landed, with support for GLB models. Updating the initial sequence and editing a sequence were both fixed, and the interface was refined.

Switch options can now be added and edited, and switching between sequences is faster. A project save error was fixed, along with a bug in the viewer and a number of smaller issues.

Sequences now have loop and initial frame settings, so you can choose where playback starts and whether it repeats. A viewer fix shipped with them.

The Sequences tab in the right sidebar now loads sequences faster. The media manager picked up a few refinements alongside it.

A project description is now optional, so a project can be created without writing one. Uploading folders and files in the media manager was refined in the same change.

Free plan users are now prevented from creating more files and folders once their limit is reached. Deleting files and folders is faster.

The control panel now supports 2D sections. Creating a project was fixed for hidden sections and for section titles.

Fullscreen in the 2D viewer was fixed. The delete button was refined, and a bug in the upload window was fixed.

An auto-rotate jitter in the 3D viewer was fixed, along with further fixes and improvements to the 3D viewer. The media manager received interface changes, and smaller bug fixes shipped alongside.

The Add Sequence window now checks what you enter before saving. The media manager picked up an interface fix.

An additive toggle and an acceleration toggle landed, along with default behaviour for both. Active sequences are now shown in both modes, and an interactivity fix shipped alongside.

Uploading a file now shows its progress on screen, so you can see how far along it is. Images also appear as soon as a view opens, instead of filling in a moment later.

The media manager no longer closes on you partway through creating a project. Side panels open and close correctly, and a set of smaller interface issues were fixed alongside them. The sequence a project starts on also loads the first time.

Making a selection on the 2D canvas now brings up all of the sequences it holds. Previously only some of them came up.

Sequences no longer flicker while you work with them. The screens for creating and editing a sequence were refined at the same time.

A project is no longer limited to a single sequence. Each one you add appears in the sidebar, where you can edit or delete it.

The 2D canvas now sits alongside the 3D side of the product. Creating a project from the dashboard covers both kinds, so you can start either one from the same place.

A 2D canvas was added, along with frames to work in. Creating a project now runs as a stepped flow that takes you through it one stage at a time.

The media manager now handles a whole folder, individual files, or a mix of the two in a single upload. Deleting a file removes it completely.

A media manager was added, giving you one place to browse and manage the files you have uploaded. The pricing page also got a new look.

Images that previously failed to load now appear correctly, and dragging and dropping an image works again. The tab in the left sidebar was fixed at the same time.

The feedback widget no longer covers the area on the right side of the screen. New parts of the redesigned home page went live alongside these fixes.

The home page was redesigned, with several new sections. The Discord link now opens in a new tab, so you keep your place on the page.

Deleting a file used to take it out of view while leaving the file itself behind. It is now removed properly when you delete it.

The contact page and FAQ were redesigned. A set of smaller bugs and interface issues were fixed at the same time.

Signing in on a phone now works, along with the upload button on that screen. The left sidebar adjusts to smaller screens, and the header was corrected.

The pricing page was updated. The subscription details shown on the contact page were changed as well.

Resetting your password is now possible. The logo is consistent everywhere in the app, spacing in the sign-in window was corrected, and the settings page lines up properly.

The contact page and the section at the top of the home page were fixed, and footer spacing was corrected. Images that failed to load now appear, and the Discord link was updated.

An error that stopped payments from going through was fixed. Where you land after paying was corrected as well.

On the settings page, your profile picture now shows correctly, and the upload and upgrade buttons work as they should. The app now shows an icon in the browser tab, and a set of smaller interface and bug fixes landed.

Billing for the main subscription plans now works from start to finish. You can pick a plan, pay for it, and end up on that plan.

Changing your subscription now saves against your account properly. A new subscription shows up on your account as soon as you create it, so the plan you are on is the plan the app shows.

Each plan card now shows the correct button for that plan. The price of the plan you pick carries through to the order summary, so the amount you see matches what you chose.

A subscription that reaches the end of its term is now marked as ended on your account. The billing order summary was refined at the same time.

Switching plans in the order summary recalculates the total straight away, so the figure matches what you have selected. Picking a smaller plan than the one you are on shows a downgrade notice.

The billing screen now shows the subscription plan actually on your account, and the notice shown when an add-on sits alongside a main subscription was corrected. If you have scheduled a downgrade, you can now cancel it.

Cancelling and reactivating can now be applied to one add-on on its own, rather than to everything on the account at once. That means you can drop a single add-on and leave the rest of your plan as it is. Downgrading a plan now shows a notice.

Subscriptions can now be upgraded and downgraded. Upgrades can be done directly in the app or through the billing portal, whichever you prefer.

Accounts carrying more than one add-on are now billed correctly. Every add-on on the account is accounted for as expected, rather than only some of them.

The buttons for managing your subscription were reworked, and the way cancelling works changed alongside them. Moving to the Pro plan now asks you to confirm before the change is made.

A subscription you have already cancelled can now be reactivated. The billing screens were updated alongside it.

Your subscription and your storage add-on can now be activated, cancelled and reactivated independently of one another. You can cancel just the add-on, just the subscription, or both together, and bring them back the same way.

You can now buy a paid plan and the storage add-on. Payments made on your account show up on your billing page.

You can now send feedback from inside the app, without leaving what you were doing. The send button shows a loading indicator while your message is on its way.

Signing in with Google, resetting your password, the settings screen, and creating a model were all fixed. The homepage hero picked up another model.

Signing up now works the way it should. Documentation links open in a new tab, so you keep the page you were already on.

The plans on offer changed and were renamed. The new names show everywhere plans appear, and new sign-ups use the new plans.

The hero section on the homepage now shows a different model in place of the one that was there before.

The billing page now shows the subscription on your account, together with the transactions recorded against it. You can see which plan you are on and what has been charged.

Cookie consent was also set up across the site. You can choose what gets stored in your browser.

Choosing a plan when you sign up now puts that plan on your account. It stays there until you change it.

On mobile, the profile tab is now part of the bottom navigation. A bug in the profile dropdown in the header was also fixed.

Signing up now includes a step to verify your email address before you finish, and you get an email at each step of that process.

On mobile, a bottom bar was added and problems with the header were fixed. The profile area now links straight through to sign in and sign up, and an issue with the HDRI environments was fixed.

The environment list could show the same HDRI twice, and now shows each one once. Edited models and HDRIs carry their name through to the preview, and a dead link was fixed.

The contact form now works. The header on the sign-in pages and the footer now fit properly on smaller screens, with a further fix for the header on phones.

The homepage now shows a live 3D viewer embedded directly in the page. The hero section and the header were reworked around it, including how the hero lays out on smaller screens. Several links across the site now point to the right place.

Several new pages were added to the site. A problem with file uploads was fixed at the same time.

New accounts are now verified by email. Signing up sends you a message to confirm your address.

Payments and plan changes you make at checkout now show on your account on their own. You do not have to do anything for your plan and payment status to be up to date.

The billing screens have a new look. An animation problem was fixed at the same time.

Opening a model you have already viewed is quicker than the first time. The animation controls in the right sidebar had a playback bug, which is fixed.

The animation controller now sits in the studio's right sidebar, alongside the other controls. The recent projects section was reworked at the same time.

The all-projects view now pages through your work instead of putting everything in one long list, and each project can be deleted from there directly. A thumbnail problem was fixed and the styling across the list was tidied up.

A flipped image is now handled the same as any other image you bring in, and arrives in the scene with the flip you set.

Uploads that used to fail on larger files now go through. Saving shows progress while it runs.

An HDRI now uses its flip setting when you add it.

Editing a model used to delete the image already attached to it. The existing image is now kept when you save your changes. An error when the page opened, and a problem with the default model, were fixed at the same time.

The editor gained a bottom actions bar, so the main actions sit together under the scene. Screenshots of the scene were also improved.

The save button now tells you when it is disabled. Fixes went out for environments being marked active on their own, for the toggles, and for preview.

The warnings shown when you link an environment or make one active were reworded to be clearer about what each action does. Three fixes went out at the same time: editing an environment no longer falls back to the wrong one, creating the first environment in a project no longer errors, and screenshot capture was fixed.

Linking is no longer one to one. A single environment can now be linked to several models at once. An environment also shows as inactive on its own once you edit it.

HDRI handling and the toggles around it were adjusted, along with how linking and the active state behave in the Environments tab. Minor bugs were fixed at the same time.

Creating a project now lets you hide the sections you do not need. Linking and the active state also hold up through changes, including when you edit background colours. Minor bugs were fixed alongside.

The control panel now lists the right set of available environments, including ones that are just a background colour. The environment it shows as default now comes from whichever one is linked.

The viewer can now auto-rotate the model, and the overlay animates. Editing a section title was fixed at the same time.

A background image can now be hidden. Background colours and background images can now be marked as active or default, and managing environments was updated to match.

The checkerboard backdrop and a problem with the HDRI section were both fixed. A drag-and-drop issue and the highlight in the control panel were fixed as well.

Marking a model active and setting it as the default now stay in step, so changing one no longer leaves the other behind. Preview was updated at the same time, and the colour picker now opens with a value already set.

The default environment is now shown, and changing which one is default takes effect straight away. An error that appeared when creating a model was fixed.

An environment can now be marked as the default. Setting a default gives a project one environment to use when no other has been chosen.

Environments are now captured as a screenshot and shown against the project in All projects. Background colours, background images and HDRIs all render in the scene.

A preview page was added for projects, and the billing screens were refined. Smaller bugs were fixed alongside.

The dashboard gained a home page and an All projects view. Other bugs were fixed at the same time.

The Environments tab now lets you add an environment, edit it afterwards, and switch between them. The viewer overlay and a display bug in the control panel's environment list were fixed at the same time.

Retrying a failed upload used to error out. The retry now goes through, so an upload that fails can be picked up again. Bugs when adding and editing environments were fixed at the same time.

An error that could stop a page from working was fixed. A few smaller bugs were cleared up at the same time.

Adding or editing an environment in the Environments tab did not always show up in the 3D viewer. Both adding and editing now update the viewer as soon as the change is made.

Adding or editing a background colour, background image or HDRI in the environment tab now updates the option list and the selected model as soon as you save it. The sidebar and the viewer both reflect the change without reloading the project.

Each saved environment option is also listed together with the models it is attached to, so it is clear where a background or HDRI is already in use. Choosing which models an option applies to works the same way for every option type.

The right sidebar gained a Hide Section Types group with checkboxes for Background Colors, Background Images and HDRIs. Ticking one hides that section from the viewer's controls panel, which helps when a configurator should offer model options and none of the environment controls.

Opening a project now restores each model's saved settings, so models come back set up the way you left them rather than reset.

Plans and subscriptions now have their own tabs on the billing page instead of sharing a single screen.

Projects gained a setting that stops an HDRI from being used as the background, so it can light the model while the background stays whatever you chose. The background shown in the environment tab and the background shown in the viewer now always match.

You can now reset a forgotten password by email. Asking for a reset sends you a link, and the reset page lets you set a new password from it. Links expire after a set period.

Project names now have to be unique within an account. Creating a project with a name that already exists is rejected instead of leaving you with two projects you cannot tell apart.

The per-project model limit is now counted against the project you are actually working in. A model you add appears in the sidebar, under its section, straight away.

The site header was restyled, and wording and layout were corrected in several places on the home page, including the pricing section.

Editing or removing a section from the models tab did not always update the section list in the sidebar. Both actions now work as expected. The all-projects list, the viewer's controls panel and the file uploader were tidied up at the same time.

A new overlay animates a touch icon back and forth across the viewer and turns the model with it, signalling that the model can be rotated. It is a per-project setting, so you decide whether a given configurator shows the hint.

The overlay replaces the older static interaction indicator, which was removed. The right sidebar's tabs were rearranged at the same time.

Sections in the right sidebar can now be dragged into a new order. The order is saved, so it holds the next time the project is opened.

Sections also became collapsible. The add and delete actions moved into dialogs instead of sitting inline next to each section.

Project, storage and model limits are now stated the same way everywhere they appear. On the free plan that is 2 projects, 2 GB of storage and 2 models per project.

When creating a project is blocked, a message on the button explains why. It distinguishes between having reached the project count and having run out of storage.

Deleting a project used to go through the browser's own confirm dialogue. It now uses an in-app confirmation, and the same dialogue appears from the dashboard, the all-projects list and the left sidebar. The all-projects view and the dashboard were also updated to show where you stand against the free plan's two-project limit.

The colour picker now supports alpha. Colour changes apply smoothly as you drag through them, and cancelling the eyedropper no longer shows an error.

Smaller fixes also went into the add background colour, add and edit background image and add model dialogs, along with the sign-in form, the storage indicator and the feedback page.

The add-model and edit-model dialogs now use the same fields and behave the same way, instead of each one working slightly differently. Both include a colour picker with alpha, an image uploader and a model switch icon.

The home page hero, the left and right sidebars, and the add and edit model dialogs were restyled so buttons, inputs and sliders look and behave the same throughout, and loading indicators now match. The watermark and the model interaction indicator were adjusted at the same time.

Sign-in and sign-up now live at a single pair of pages. Older sign-in links still land in the right place, and visitors who are already signed in go straight to the dashboard instead of being shown a sign-in form again. Both can also be opened as dialogs from the site header.

A project's thumbnail can now be regenerated rather than only being set once, so the image in the all-projects list keeps up with the project. Replacing a thumbnail removes the old image, so it stops taking up your storage. Projects without an image show a No Thumbnail placeholder.

Projects now carry a thumbnail. The viewer captures a small snapshot of the loaded model and saves it against the project, and the all-projects list shows that image instead of a placeholder. A sign-in bug was fixed at the same time.

Announcements now show as a banner in the dashboard, scheduled to run between a start and an end date. Only the announcement that is currently active is shown.

Feedback you send is now attached to your account rather than arriving unattributed, so we know who asked when we read it.

Subscriptions now record the date their billing started, and the billing page shows it. Past PayPal payments now appear in your billing history and stay listed there. Your profile image now appears in the site header and the left sidebar.

The premium tier, the storage add-on and the combined premium-plus-storage plans are now selectable on the billing page and subscribed to through PayPal. The storage warning was updated to match the new plans.

Your billing page now shows a transaction history, with a description and a date for each payment. New payments are added to it as they happen.

Connecting and disconnecting a PayPal account is now handled in one place, and the PayPal email you connected is shown on both the billing and settings pages.

Deleting a model used to leave its uploaded file behind. The file is now removed together with the model, so it no longer keeps taking up your storage.

You can now delete your account outright, alongside the existing option to delete your profile. Everything stored with the account is removed with it.

Storage use is now shown per project rather than only as one account-wide total. The dashboard shows where your space has gone, and the figure updates as you upload.

The all-projects list compares each project against your plan's storage limit and greys out any project that would push the account over it, with a tooltip explaining that an upgrade is needed. The storage warning also shows sizes correctly now, and a failed sign-in returns you to the sign-in page rather than the home page.

The feedback form used to clear itself on submit without sending anything. Bug reports and feature requests now reach us, with the type, title and description you entered.

The dashboard warns you when your account is over its storage limit, showing how much you are using against that limit. It also flags a subscription that has expired, or a plan that has dropped back to free. Archived projects get their own notice, counting the days until the earliest one is deleted.

Archiving a project hides it from your main list and moves it under the Archived filter, where it stays for 30 days. You can restore it at any point in that window, though a restore is refused while your account is over its storage limit. After 30 days the project is cleared for good.

Deleting a project permanently removes its model files as well as the project itself, so the space it was using comes back to your account.

Subscriptions now work for all three ways of buying: premium on its own, a storage add-on on its own, and premium with an add-on. Billing history lists the purchases made on your account.

Cancelling asks for confirmation twice: once for an active storage add-on, and again for the subscription as a whole. Cancelling the subscription ends any active add-on along with it, and returns the account to the free plan and its 500 MB storage limit.

Buying premium together with a storage add-on left the account without the storage it had paid for. The plan and the add-on are now bought as two separate purchases, and your storage limit matches the plan you chose.

Sign-in, sign-up, settings and password forms now check each field as you fill it in and show the problem next to the field it belongs to. Previously a form only failed once you pressed submit, without saying which field was wrong.

The Settings tab now shows your own account details instead of placeholder fields. First and last name, display name, phone number and address details are saved to your account, and the values are still there when you come back to the page.

Changing your password asks for your current one and a confirmation before the change is accepted. A profile picture can be uploaded, replaced, or removed entirely.

You can now sign in with Google as well as with an email address and password. Once you are signed in you stay signed in as you move around the dashboard, instead of each page asking again, and any page that needs an account sends you to sign in first.

The sign-in and sign-up pages were redesigned at the same time, and profile settings gained a profile picture upload.

A project can now be started straight from the left sidebar. You name it and add your model files there, without going to the projects page first.

Plan limits are checked as you create. Free accounts are capped at three projects and warned when a project carries more model files than the free plan allows, and hitting either limit tells you which one you reached. Free accounts now include 500 MB of storage, and premium includes 10 GB with no cap on the number of projects.

On the projects page, creating a project runs through a dialog where you name it and add your model files. Renaming saves to your account, and deleting removes the stored model files along with the project, so the space comes back.

Creating checks your plan first: free accounts stop at three projects and are warned when a project carries more model files than the free plan allows, while premium has no project cap. Premium and the storage add-on are billed separately from this point, each with its own next billing date set by the monthly or yearly cycle.

Premium can now be bought on either a monthly or a yearly billing cycle, with the prices switching between the two. A storage add-on is sold alongside the plan, so you can buy extra space without changing plans.

The billing page names your current plan and any add-on storage, shows the price for the cycle you have selected, and totals your plan storage together with an active add-on.

The dashboard gained Billing and Settings pages. Billing covers connecting and disconnecting PayPal, starting a subscription, and cancelling one. Settings shows and saves your profile and billing details.

Invoices for your purchases are kept with your account. Projects you delete are also cleared for good 30 days after you delete them.

The dashboard was redesigned so that its controls, cards and dialogs look and behave the same from one screen to the next. The projects list gained a search box, a sort menu offering All Projects, Recently Edited, Largest Size, Most Models and Archived, and a card grid that adapts to the width of your window. Each card carries its own dialogs for renaming, archiving and permanently deleting, which at this stage only opened without saving anything; they started saving later in the month.

A feedback page was added to the dashboard at the same time. At this point it was the form only, clearing the fields on submit, and submissions started reaching us later in the month.

The watermark drawn over embedded viewers still carried the old product name, 3DDuck. It now reads 3DBAE.

The left sidebar was simplified further and its storage readout adjusted to match. The public homepage, header and footer were updated at the same time.

The storage panel in the left sidebar is now one line: the space you have used against your plan limit, a thinner progress bar, and a refresh button next to the figures so you can re-check usage without reloading the page. The plan name above it, the card frame around the panel, and the "Storage almost full!" label on the bar were all removed.

A project looks and behaves the same whether a visitor sees it embedded on your own site or opens the viewer directly.

The dashboard, the left sidebar and the project list page also picked up layout changes, along with fixes to how projects load into them.

Dragging to orbit a model on the studio canvas now turns the model more smoothly.

A bug that could stop a new project from being created was fixed.

Each project tracks the space its uploads take up, and the figure appears on the project card next to the model count. The number stays current as you add and remove models.

Compressed GLB files were failing to load. They now open normally.

Wireframe display is now saved with the project rather than being a temporary toggle, so the choice survives a reload. The toggles in the right sidebar now behave consistently with one another.

The viewer now rotates around the model itself rather than a fixed point in the scene. Models that are not sitting at the centre of the scene no longer swing off to one side as you drag.

How the viewer frames and rotates a model was adjusted again, following the changes made over the preceding days. The wireframe toggle and the canvas now always agree on whether wireframe is on.

The viewer returns to its starting view after you interact with a model. That now works both for models built around the centre of the scene and for models that sit off to one side.

Once you finish orbiting a model, the viewer moves back to its original camera position instead of staying wherever the drag left it.

Camera settings were updated at the same time, including a project option to hide the viewer's camera switcher.

Background colour dialogs use a new colour picker, and swatches with transparency are shown over a checkerboard so a transparent value is visible rather than blank. Camera positions in the viewer were corrected at the same time.

Models that contain animation now get a playback bar with play and pause, a scrub slider, the current time and duration, and a note of how many clips the file contains.

Creating a project no longer requires uploading a model up front. A project is set up with an empty model slot you can fill in later, and you can now edit a model you have already added from an updated models tab.

Background colour options can now be set to transparent, and the viewer carries that through to the scene.

Animation stored in a GLB file now plays in the viewer instead of the model standing still. The upload form was simplified at the same time.

Colours, images and HDRIs that were not linked to any model were treated as unavailable and could not be switched from the viewer's control panel. They can now be selected on their own, and the option shown as active is the one currently applied to the scene.

Groups with nothing in them are no longer shown, so the panel stops displaying an empty MODEL or HDRI heading. A dropdown that failed to open was also fixed.

Adding a model can now attach it to a placeholder in the same step, so the slot and the model that fills it are set up together instead of in two passes. The public home page also has a new layout.

Placeholder models and normal models were added through two separate flows. They now share one, so the same form and the same checks apply whichever you are adding.

The interactivity settings in the model editor were redesigned, and two viewer bugs were fixed: auto-rotate misbehaving, and model dimensions being reported incorrectly.

Placeholders created for a project can now be renamed or removed after the fact, rather than being fixed once they exist. The setting that hides section titles was not being applied and now is, along with several smaller fixes.

You can create placeholder models when a project is created, or when adding a model later. Each placeholder is a named slot that a real model gets linked to afterwards, and the add-model form lets you pick which placeholder an upload fills.

The studio now shows a dedicated empty state when no model is selected, and a watermark was added to the viewer.

The headings that group options in the viewer's control panel, such as models, background colours, images and HDRIs, can now be given your own titles. Titles are saved per project, so each project can label its sections its own way.

Deleting a project also deletes the files uploaded to it, so a removed project no longer leaves its models behind.

The dashboard home and a new all-projects page now show a loading indicator while their contents load.

A project's embed code was already copyable from the studio. It now appears in a formatted, line-numbered code block instead of a plain text box, so it is easier to read before you paste it into your site.

The left sidebar was redesigned at the same time, and the storage usage display was updated with it.

The project list page now shows each project as a card, and a new left sidebar sits alongside a rearranged dashboard layout. Projects are presented the same way wherever you see them.

The add and edit dialogs for background colours, images and HDRIs now show which models each option is linked to. Models that cannot be picked appear disabled rather than being left out of the list, and several bugs in editing an existing option were fixed.

Editing a saved background colour now works from start to finish. The background image edit form opens with the current values already filled in, instead of blank fields.

Background colours and images are tied to whichever option is active. When a different option is selected, the background changes with it, so each option can be presented against its own backdrop.

Combinations previously applied to colours alone. They now cover HDRIs and background images too, so one combination can set the colour, the lighting and the backdrop together. The screen where combinations are set up was updated alongside it, and a number of problems were fixed.

Combinations shipped for colours, so colour choices can be defined as a set rather than one at a time.

The project list was restyled at the same time, and a number of problems were fixed.

The control panel in the model view was rearranged, and several problems with it were fixed. The storage figure now updates as soon as you upload or delete a file, rather than only after you reload the page.

HDRIs and background colours that have already been added can now be edited in place, instead of being removed and added again. Entries kept inside a section can be deleted as well, and project details can be updated.

Deleting an uploaded file produced an error. That was fixed, and deletion now completes cleanly. The environment tab was also updated so it reflects changes as they are made.

The header now shows how much storage you are using, with a bar alongside the figure. HDRIs can be uploaded from the environment tab, and the details for each environment entry open in their own dialog.

Sections and dividers can hold their own background colours and background images. An error when creating a project was also fixed.

Environment settings can now be arranged into sections. Grouping related entries keeps a longer environment list easier to move through.

HDRI files can now be uploaded directly. Two fixes went in alongside: an image that did not appear correctly when a project was created, and a problem opening a project.

The switches that change options now show up inside the embedded viewer itself. Models can also be deleted while you are editing them, and project details can be updated.

Options can now be grouped into sections and separated with dividers, with their icons shown in the centre. Adding a model was updated to work with the new sections and dividers.

The viewer was reworked to show its controls as icons. What each control does is unchanged.

Project creation is now split across two steps rather than a single form. Each step covers a smaller set of choices, so there is less to fill in at once.

The uploader now accepts files dragged and dropped onto it, in addition to selecting them. A new tab was added to the sidebar.

Forms check what you enter and flag problems before submitting, and a bug that left you on the wrong page was fixed.

Background images can be set when adding a model and changed when editing one. The viewer gained a control to hide or show that image, so a model can be seen against its backdrop or on its own.

A background image can be chosen when a model is created and kept when that model is updated. The image stays with the model rather than needing to be set again each time it is opened.

New models can be added with a background colour, and details on models already in a project can be updated. Switching between the models in a project went in at the same time. A bug that appeared when reloading a project was fixed.

Creating a project and then deleting it failed the first time a user logged in. That was fixed, and both now work as expected in a new account's first session.

A project created with two models now shows both in a dropdown, and you can switch between them. This was the first version of model switching.

You can create a project and update its properties afterwards. A project's models are listed together in the right-hand sidebar, so several models can be kept in one place.

The uploader now takes more than one file at a time, so a set of models can go up in a single pass instead of one upload after another. The right-hand sidebar was updated alongside it.

Uploading a file now works and gives back a link to it. The upload form clears itself after each submission, and several problems with uploading and deleting were fixed.

Deleting a project also removes the files uploaded with it, so nothing is left behind. The header was tidied up and a profile dropdown was added.

The first version put the basics in place: a header and footer on every page, and staying signed in as you move from page to page.
